Terms and Conditions

Plain-English summary: Most products linked on this site are sold by independent merchants, not by Makersmiths Forge. Their prices, shipping, returns, warranties, and transaction terms apply. If we later sell something directly, the terms shown at checkout will also apply.
These Terms and Conditions supplement our Terms of Use and govern offers, affiliate referrals, promotions, and any products, services, subscriptions, downloads, or other transactions that Makersmiths Forge may make available. If transaction-specific terms conflict with these general terms, the transaction-specific terms control for that transaction.

1. Affiliate referrals are third-party transactions
   Makersmiths Forge publishes research and may link to products or services sold by Amazon and other independent manufacturers, retailers, marketplaces, or service providers. Unless we expressly identify ourselves as the seller, Makersmiths Forge is not the seller, merchant of record, payment processor, shipper, warrantor, or customer-service provider for those purchases.

The third party’s current price, taxes, availability, product description, delivery, subscription, cancellation, return, refund, warranty, privacy, and other terms govern your transaction. Review them before purchasing and direct transaction questions to that seller.

2. Affiliate and material-connection disclosure
   Some links are affiliate links. Makersmiths Forge may earn a commission or receive another benefit if you click, purchase, register, or complete another qualifying action, at no extra cost to you. Makersmiths Forge may participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and other affiliate networks. As an Amazon Associate, Makersmiths Forge earns from qualifying purchases.

We may also receive review units, samples, discounts, sponsorship fees, advertising revenue, or access to products or services. We will disclose material connections where required. Editorial conclusions remain our own, but research is inherently judgment-based and should be considered alongside other reliable sources.

3. Product information, pricing, and availability
   Prices, coupons, availability, specifications, images, shipping estimates, and merchant terms can change without notice. Information displayed on Makersmiths Forge may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The information shown by the seller at the time of purchase controls. 5. Future direct sales or paid services
   If Makersmiths Forge later sells a product, download, membership, event, consulting service, sponsorship, or other offering directly, the description, price, billing frequency, fulfillment details, cancellation policy, refund policy, license, and any additional terms presented at checkout or in an order confirmation become part of your agreement with us. We may correct obvious pricing or description errors and cancel affected orders, issuing any required refund.

Unless a specific offer states otherwise, digital content is licensed for the purchaser’s personal or internal business use and may not be redistributed, resold, or made publicly available. Any recurring charge will be disclosed before purchase and handled under the cancellation method stated at signup.

6. Promotions and discount codes
   Promotions may be subject to eligibility, timing, quantity, territory, and other restrictions. They may not be combined unless stated otherwise and may be changed or withdrawn where lawful. Third-party promotional codes are controlled by the relevant merchant.

7. User content and submissions
   Comments, reviews, corrections, tips, and other community contributions are governed by the User Content section of our Terms of Use. Do not submit confidential information, unlawful content, undisclosed promotional content, or material you do not have the right to share.

8. Intellectual property
   Purchasing, downloading, or accessing an offering does not transfer ownership of Makersmiths Forge intellectual property. Except for the limited license expressly provided with an offering, no right to reproduce, modify, distribute, resell, scrape, or commercially exploit our content, data, branding, or materials is granted.

9. External services and payment security
   Transactions may be handled by third-party merchants, storefronts, payment processors, email providers, or platforms. Their services and privacy practices are outside our control. Do not send payment-card or sensitive financial information through ordinary email, comments, or community submissions.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The disclaimers and limitations of liability in our Terms of Use apply to these Terms and Conditions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy
    Our handling of personal information, cookies, analytics, affiliate tracking, and transaction-related data is described in our Privacy Policy. A third-party seller or processor will separately govern the information it collects.

12. Changes and governing law
    We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. The laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in or serving Fairfax County, Virginia will be the agreed venue except where applicable law requires otherwise.
